TAIHEIYO ENGINEERING CORPORATION has completed delivery of loading/unloading equipment for 2,000t class cement carrier

Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation has completed design and procurement of machinery and equipment as well as supervising of installation and commissioning of loading/unloading equipment for 2,000t class cement carrier (carrier coping with damage stability requirements by SOLAS), entrusted by Taiheiyo Cement Corporation.

The vessel, Kai-sho Maru completed her trial voyage and was taken over to the shipowner from a shipyard in July 2016.

To that vessel, Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation installed bulk cargo handling equipment with damage stability countermeasures concept which Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation had patent.

Many innovative systems such as electric driven cargo handling equipment, reduction of cement dead stock in the holds, higher loading rate by utilizing the system capacity, and higher pneumatic unloading rate with reduced pulsations are applied.
