Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation has completed design and procurement of machinery and equipment as well as
supervising of installation
and commissioning of loading/unloading equipment for 7,500 DWT cement carrier (carrier coping with damage
stability requirements by SOLAS)
entrusted by Taiheiyo Cement Corporation. After trial cruise the carrier was taken over to the shipowner
from a shipyard in July 2014.
In the continuation of 7,500 DWT cement carrier in January, this is the second carrier that newly goes into
service this year. Further
three cement carriers of 8,500 DWT class are under building at present and scheduled to go into service
successively.
